Innovation and Tinkering are unique topics for which special training is required for the teachers. Regular training would be instrumental in using the ATL effectively.
Specially trained lab technician is required to be employed at each ATL who have experience and knowledge of working with tools & equipment established at the lab.
Complete lesson plans on topics like ideation, prototyping, problem solving and creating solution for local issues, with the prime focus on innovative approach in ATL.
Schools are required to establish connect with industries to provide real life update of development in science and technology, also sought some CSR support.
ATL Schools are encouraged to participate in various national and international innovation contest like google science fair, Intel Science and Engineering Science fair etc.

Important Notice: Schools which have already received the grant are instructed to start working on Infrastructure and finalize the Lab setup by 30th June 2017, for which school are free to engage with capable vendors for the same as per the Utilisation Guidelines – Grant-in-aid.
26 May 2017 :NITI Aayog released the ATL FAQ based on the discussion after the live session at Facebook page.
9 May 2017 :NITI Aayog conducted a live session on Atal Innovation Mission Facebook page. More than 300 schools participated and asked their questions and doubt about the establishment of ATL. Soon the FAQ would be released by AIL.
18-20 April 2017 :NITI Aayog released the indicative list of Equipment Vendors along with revised list of equipment required for ATL along with ATL Procurement Guidelines.
20-21 March 2017 :NITI Aayog released the second list of 200 schools who are selected for establishing ATL in their school.
20-21 Feb 2017 :NITI Aayog invited all the schools selected to establish ATL to the two day ATL launch event to be held in New Delhi on Feb 20 and 21, 2017 – ATL Launch event is postponed till further notice.
30 Dec 2016 : Schools with all the correct documents started receiving the grant-in-aid in their bank account registered with PFMS portal.
22nd Dec 2016 : Schools started receiving Sanction Letter from AIM, for the grant release information from AIM authorities.
20th Dec 2016 : Last date of submitting hard copy of MOA ( 2 copies) & Bond Form (on stamp paper of Rs. 20/- or above) to be received at AIM Delhi Office
16th Dec 2016 : Last date of submitting soft copy of complete MOA and Bond Form released by AIM
15th Dec 2016 : Selected schools were requested to send Unique Agency Code to AIM via mail
13th Dec 2016 : Complete Instruction sheet for PFMS registration send my email to all the schools.
1st Dec 2016 : Declaration of final list of 257 schools selected for ATL establishment.
5th Nov 2016 : Stage 4 -Innovation Challenge for finalizing the grant out of 595 schools.
18th Oct 2016 : Shortlist of 595 schools for final Stage 4 selection process
20th July 2016 : Last date of submission of ATL Registration Form
